If you are in the fashion world at all or maybe a shopper of the Target designer collaborations, you know that Alexander Mc Queen died of suicide this week. He was not only too young to die but it was also such a loss in the fashion world. He marched to his own drum paying careful attention to both the garment and the story when creating a fashion show. He always had is hand in the darker side of things when creating beautiful clothing for people to wear. I often wonder why creative people seem to hurt themselves so much. Maybe it’s because they feel so much that when you are so open and vulnerable like they are when creating, it is harder to numb yourself to things that happen negatively in life. I don’t know the answer and I don’t know if we ever will, all I know is that it is a shame. Above is Alexander’s last public collection for Spring 2010 collection.
